If you consider yourself a movie buff or an amateur film critic—or if you just enjoy watching movies and talking about them—the Acorn Movie Club may be right for you. The group watches and discusses a variety of thought provoking, challenging, and groundbreaking contemporary and classic films from around the world and meets the third Wednesday of every month at 7:00pm to talk about them. If you have any questions or would like to join, contact the Adult Services Department at 708-687-3700.
May's movie, "The Night of the Hunter" (1955), tells the story of a religious fanatic who marries a gullible widow, whose young children are reluctant to tell him where their real daddy hid $10,000 he'd stolen in a robbery.
