Museum Adventure Pass Program
The Library offers a limited number of passes and discounts to local attractions. These cannot be reserved and are given out on a first come, first serve basis to current Acorn Public Library cardholders in good standing. Passes for the Brookfield Zoo are limited to one per family per checkout period. For a list of participating organizations, visit the Museum Adventure Pass website.
Passes must be picked up in person at the Youth Services Desk or the Reference Desk. Please Contact Us to inquire about availability.
We provide basic notary services. However, we cannot process real estate documents. There is a $1.00 fee for each notarized document. Please contact the Library in advance to ensure that a notary will be available during your visit.
We have a drive-up book drop located in the south parking lot.
Laminating is done on Tuesdays and Thursdays by the Circulation Department. The fee is $0.50 per foot.
Art Exhibit Display
The Library’s upper level display case features a different local artist each month.
We offer test proctoring to homeschooled students, post-secondary students, and professionals taking licensing exams.
There is a $5.00 fee for each proctored exam. This fee is non-refundable and is due at the time of registration.
It is the student’s responsibility to verify that the proctoring conditions provided by the Acorn Public Library District meet all requirements of the school assigning the test. The student is responsible for following test instructions and making all necessary arrangements with their instructor and the librarian who will proctor the exam.
Public computers are available for online testing, but the student will have only limited privacy and will be subjected to noise. Testing systems requiring additional software will not be permitted on Library computers. The proctor will be the librarian on duty at the Reference Desk at the time of the exam.
Scheduling Your Exam
Exams must be scheduled in person at the Reference Desk at least three days in advance. If the student is more than 15 minutes late for their exam, he/she will need to reschedule. There is a $5.00 fee for all rescheduled exams. Please Contact Us with any questions.
