NOMINATION PETITIONS AVAILABLE
Nomination petitions for those wishing to run for the office of Library Trustee of
the Acorn Public Library District will be available at the Acorn Public Library,
15624 S. Central Avenue, Oak Forest, IL 60452 beginning August 20, 2024.
Prospective candidates must reside within the library district boundaries.
Completed petitions must be filed with the Election Official of the Library District or
a designated representative from November 12-18, 2024. A minimum of fifty (50)
signatures by eligible registered voters are required on the petition in order to get
one’s name on the election ballot. The election will fill two (2) six-year terms, and
one (1) four-year unexpired term and will take place on Tuesday, April 1, 2025. For
