Starting Monday, June 1, we will expand our curbside services. In addition to curbside check-outs and printing, we are expanding our services to include curbside faxing, notary services, and outdoor laptop use for Acorn cardholders. All of these services are available by appointment only. Please email curbside@acornlibrary.org to submit your request, and a librarian will get back to you as soon as possible to schedule an appointment.
You may continue to request request items on shelf at Acorn Public Library by placing a hold online in the SWAN catalog, by phone at 708.687.3706, or by email to curbside@acornlibrary.org. We will notify you when your items are ready for pickup; do not attempt to pick up your items until you have been notified. Items will be held for pickup for 3 days. Cancel any unwanted hold items online or contact the library for assistance. Please return materials through the book drop.
Library staff will be appropriately attired and follow recommended guidelines for handling library materials. Items must be quarantined for 72 hours before being checked in. Note: this means items will stay on your account for approximately 3 days. Don’t worry! At this time no overdue fines are being charged on any library materials.
Please expect longer than usual wait times for materials to be ready for pickup due to the extended quarantine time for returned materials. Items may not be picked up at other SWAN libraries, nor is interlibrary loan of other libraries’ items available
